arts & culture in harpenden

Harpenden Arts & Culture Forum
Back in 2023, the Town Council agreed to create a new Arts & Culture Forum to shape and influence the development of this exciting sector in Harpenden.

Following a survey conducted last Summer to help identify the rich tapestry of local groups, October saw the launch of the new Harpenden Arts & Culture Forum. This Forum is currently formed of over 20 groups that are based within Harpenden and are involved within the arts or culture sector, whether as a business or as a recreational activity group.

Forum members provided valuable feedback on how the Town Council can support and help develop the sector in the Town and have agreed the key areas that the group will focus upon and we look forward to sharing further information about each of these soon.

Communication - Utilising the Town Council’s Communication Channels to actively promote the Forum members, including the creation of a Directory page on our website

Young People’s Art & Culture – Establishing a greater link with local education settings

Venues for Hire – To scope local venues and champion Community Rates for Forum members

Our Forum members represent the spectrum of arts and culture in Harpenden - find out more here.
