UPDATE: We’re delighted that the weather is on our side for the Harpenden Carnival tomorrow! It promises to be an exciting day for all with plenty of food and drink stalls, entertainment and activities. This event is free to attend but please don’t forget to bring along a donation for the incredible charities it is supporting!

We would like to remind everyone to take sensible precautions with the hot weather in mind. As well as your sun cream and hat, bring along a refillable water bottle to use. The water refill stations are situated at the entrance to Rothamsted Park and next to the public toilets in the fountain area outside Pizza Express.

The Savile’s Dog Show is always popular, the Dog Arena is situated close to the Baa Lambs trees so there is a lovely shaded area for the dogs and their owners to enjoy nearby and we encourage you to bring your water bowl and visit the water refill stations.

Harpenden Town Council is excited to again work in partnership with the Round Table on the 56th Harpenden Carnival. This event is always a highlight of our Town’s calendar and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to Harpenden Common for this wonderful occasion!

The Round Table volunteers have worked incredibly hard to ensure that the Summer Carnival demonstrates the very best of Harpenden and offers something for everyone. From the ever-popular Savills Dog Show to bouncy inflatables, craft activities to delicious food and drinks stalls, there will be plenty to entertain all.

This year, the Arena programme is bigger and better than ever and we are delighted to announce that the programme will include the incredible Black Eagles Acrobats who you may know from CBBC’s Crackerjack; they promise to be a real show stopper! The Stage also has a wonderful line up of entertainment including fabulous music from Number 7 – guaranteed to get you up on your feet.

Town Council Officers will be ready to greet you at the Information Tent on the day, near the Baa Lambs Car Park. Do come along to pick up a lost persons wristband for children and vulnerable visitors, and to find out about this and other events taking place this year, as well as our other work we do.

The event raises thousands of pounds every year for charity and is a real testament to this incredible organisation. This year, the event is raising money for Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust, PARC, Isabel Hospice and the Mayor’s Charities.
