We wish to welcome individuals and families who are seeking safety in Harpenden and make sure we do what we can to support you.
Harpenden Cares is a partnership of local organisations who wish to combine efforts to ensure that Ukrainian people living in Harpenden, and their hosts, are well supported and have access to essential services and opportunities that have been made available in response to this crises.

High Street Methodist Church has compiled a Guide for Hosts to help navigate the first few weeks/months with their guests. It is updated as new and relevant information becomes available. This is a helpful guide with easily accessible information.

Discovering Harpenden
The parks and green spaces of Harpenden are not only diverse in the amenities they offer to visitors, but also hugely important to local wildlife and biodiversity. Wander to Batford Springs Local Nature Reserve, for example, to enjoy a rare chalk lined stream, reed fen, wet woodland, meadows, hedgerows and the River Lea.
