statement regarding the concourse
For a number of years the Town Council has allowed street food to be sold on the Concourse outside the library. During that time we have worked in partnership with many local businesses, including Toastiecilous and Emilios, to try to make the area a vibrant part of the High Street.

Litter Heroes
We would like to send a special thanks our Harpenden Town Council Litter Hero volunteers who do such amazing work helping to keep Harpenden’s green spaces clear of litter.

Discovering Harpenden
The parks and green spaces of Harpenden are not only diverse in the amenities they offer to visitors, but also hugely important to local wildlife and biodiversity. Wander to Batford Springs Local Nature Reserve, for example, to enjoy a rare chalk lined stream, reed fen, wet woodland, meadows, hedgerows and the River Lea.
