town council welcomes local businesses to harpenden business forum
In line with one of its key priorities to promote the economic and commercial vitality of local businesses, Harpenden Town Council has announced a new Business Forum which will offer an opportunity to business owners, managers and leaders in the area to gain vital support. Local business representatives are invited to attend the inaugural meeting on 15th September at The Harpenden Collective’s new offices in Harpenden.
The Town Council is keen to engage with local organisations from all industries, from small start-ups to larger local businesses, to understand challenges, share ideas and promote partnerships within the business community. It is hoped that the Forum will play a supportive role, offering assistance where it is needed and ultimately helping to boost a local economy where independent businesses thrive.
Business stakeholders who would like to attend the first meeting on 15th September should confirm their place here. Attendees will help shape the objectives of the group, its priorities and the format of future meetings.
The Business Forum will be run in collaboration with The Harpenden Collective, an independent co-working and business community in Harpenden, who are kindly providing the space to meet and inviting their members to attend.
Cllr Beth Fisher, Mayor of Harpenden, explains:
“Harpenden has an enormous wealth of local, independent businesses and the Town Council is leading efforts to support them. The vitality of our Town relies on thriving businesses and we aim to do all we can to assist them in various ways, including helping to navigate challenges, ensuring that Harpenden is a welcoming place for visitors and residents, and understanding their priorities. We are delighted to continue our partnership with The Harpenden Collective; their exciting new premises ‘Red Gables’ provide great facilities for people working there. Business managers and owners are warmly invited to join the Business Forum to discuss and take action on local business issues on 15th September and at future meetings.”
