Business Mentoring

Harpenden Town Council has partnered with The Harpenden Collective to offer an exciting new Business Mentoring programme. The programme will connect mentors and mentees and forms part of the Town Council’s objective to support local independent businesses and economic prosperity in the town.

The aim of the programme is to partner experienced business professionals who have a wealth of knowledge and experience with local business owners and managers who are looking to grow their business, overcome challenges and gain competitive advantage.

Who can be a Mentor?

Everyone is eligible to apply. We’ll review your experience and let you know if there is a suitable match with the mentees on our register. All Mentors are expected to undertake a training module designed to sharpen key mentoring approaches, enabling their own professional development and an opportunity to make an impact on local business.

Who can be a Mentee?

All local business owners or Managers are welcome to apply, whether starting a business and navigating early challenges or in an established company aiming for the next level. Town Council-funded places are available.

What can I expect as a Mentor?

Mentoring is an incredibly rewarding experience. You’ll gain:

What can I expect as a Mentee?

This is your opportunity to grow with guidance. You’ll:

• Clarify and achieve personal or business goals

• Be supported and challenged in equal measure
• Receive practical advice, thoughtful coaching, and shared wisdom
