teddy bears plan park takeover at annual picnic

One of Harpenden’s most popular events for young children, the Teddy Bears’ Picnic, will take place in Rothamsted Park on Wednesday 7th August, 11am – 2pm. Harpenden Town Council is delighted to once again host this event, organised to coincide with National Play Day – a national celebration of children’s right to play and a campaign to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives.

This year’s exciting event will include a variety of activities and entertainment for children, their families and carers, and of course their teddy bears!

This year’s Gold Sponsor ‘Nursery on the Green’ Manager, Carli Toal explained; “The Teddy Bear’s Picnic is a fantastic way of promoting communication and language skills, socialisation and imaginative play amongst children and we are hugely excited to be sponsors this year. We are really looking forward to getting out and about in the community and meeting lots of local families, as well as celebrating National Play Day as part of the occasion.”
