Free 'Music in Lydekker' returns for 6th year

Music in Lydekker will be returning to Lydekker Park in Harpenden on Saturday 24^th August 2024, 12pm-4pm. This FREE event will include incredible live music, performed by two exciting bands in the beautiful surroundings of one of Harpenden’s most picturesque green spaces.

This year we're welcoming big band The Rockin Appellos with their selection of hits from the 50s and 60s and Harpenden favourite Number 7 showcasing hits through the decades.

This popular summer highlight, organised by Harpenden Town Council, is a fantastic opportunity for Harpenden residents and visitors to unwind and enjoy the afternoon sun (fingers crossed!). Delicious food provided by Greeko Grill and fabulous drinks by Wills Horsebox Bar will compliment the day and help to ensure a relaxing, enjoyable event.

Cllr Pip Liver, Mayor of Harpenden said “Music in Lydekker is one of my favourite events to enjoy with family and friends and I’m delighted that the Town Council is hosting this exciting event for the sixth year. Lydekker Park is the perfect backdrop for live music. It is important that we are able to provide free events such as this one which is available to everyone and we look forward to seeing people of all ages enjoy this wonderful afternoon.”

Music in Lydekker is a free event, booking is not required, but attendees are encouraged to arrive on foot where possible as parking at Lydekker Car Park is limited.
