batford festival this july will celebrate the importance of local community

Porters Hill Park in Batford, Harpenden is set to host a unique Community Festival celebrating all things Batford. Local charities, community groups, schools and entertainers will join together to create an incredible FREE line up at the Batford Community Festival on Sunday 5th July.

The Batford Community Festival will take place in Porters Hill Park. The location was chosen, not only because it is a beautiful park offering playground facilities and wide-open spaces, but because it allows local people to enjoy a community celebration right on their doorstep. The Batford Festival is uniquely for local residents and it is the hope of event organisers, Harpenden Town Council, that it brings a fantastic opportunity to get together with friends and neighbours and enjoy local talent, charities and other organisations from the area.

Cllr Kirsti Wenn, Mayor of Harpenden, said “The Town Council invited local organisations to play a role in the Batford Community Festival and we were thrilled to receive such an enthusiastic response. The Batford community is thriving and this event is testament to the vibrant sprit of residents, businesses and other organisations in this neighbourhood. I’m really looking forward to seeing so many charities and organisations take part. Thank you to the event’s Gold Sponsors, Perrin Myddleton, their support is fundamental to this event and we are delighted to work with them.”

The Festival’s Gold Sponsors, Perrin Myddelton is delighted to be attending this year’s Batford Festival and they are looking forward to meeting members of the local community at its stall during the event.

As a firm committed to serving the local community, we’re looking forward to meeting residents, enjoying the day and welcoming visitors to join us.” The team at Perrin Myddelton will be on hand throughout the festival and encourages attendees to stop by, say hello and learn more about the firm.
