Town Council announces formidable partnerships for free Business Mentoring event: The Association of Business Mentors, The Harpenden Collective and Hertfordshire Institute of Directors
Harpenden Town Council has announced a free Business Mentoring seminar for business owners and managers. The seminar will take place on Monday 7th July at 6.30pm at Rothamsted Conference Centre. It will be presented by Chris Dunn of the Association of Business Mentors, in partnership with the Hertfordshire Branch of the Institute of Directors and The Harpenden Collective.
The Introduction to Business Mentoring seminar is suitable for anyone who runs a business or has done so in the past. It will cover the benefits of business mentoring and include some successful case studies. Subjects discussed will include what mentoring is, the value of having a mentor and how to find and choose a mentor.
Importantly, the seminar is aimed at both potential mentors and potential mentees. Seasoned professionals ready to share their knowledge, who might be seeking a chance to give back, build new networks and help shape the future of local business, will be able to find out about the rewards being a mentor brings. Likewise, the event is for those with a growing business, whether a start-up navigating early challenges or an established company aiming for the next level. At the seminar, they can find out how working with a mentor can provide invaluable insight, strategic advice and a fresh set of eyes on their goals.
Cllr Beth Fisher, Mayor of Harpenden, said “One of the Town Council's priorities is to help local businesses thrive. We are delighted to have this opportunity to offer a free seminar to Harpenden’s business owners and managers. We hope that many will take up the opportunity to come along and hear about the benefits that business mentoring can bring while enjoying a chance to network with other local businesses. We are extremely grateful to the Hertfordshire Branch of the Institute of Directors, the Association of Business Mentors and The Harpenden Collective for their work with us on this event.”
The Business Mentoring seminar is just one part of the work that the Town Council does to support Harpenden businesses. Local business owners and managers are also warmly invited to join the Harpenden Town Council Business Forum which meets to discuss and take action on local business issues.
